Our History | The Story of Henderson Trucking Inc.
From Humble Beginnings to Trusted Industry Leaders
Our Story
Henderson Trucking was founded in December of 1990 by Jack Henderson.
Henderson Trucking Inc. has proudly served Central Ohio for decades, providing reliable trucking services and bulk material delivery across Delaware, Columbus, Union, Westerville, Dublin, and Upper Arlington. From aggregate delivery to gravel driveway projects and seasonal salt supply, our company is built on dependable service and long-standing customer relationships.
Jack began his trucking career in the late 1950s with A&P Supermarket in Ohio. After years as an owner-operator, he switched to hauling hazmat chemicals for PPG industries. In 1982, he joined Wheeler Trucking, eventually buying out the company in 1990 and renaming it Henderson Trucking Incorporated. Starting with two trucks, he expanded, moving to the S.E. Johnson building in Johnson Industrial Park in 1994, where the company still operates with a personal touch and truly feels like home.
About Us
We take immense pride in our close-knit, diligent community.
In 1999, we acquired a salt distribution business in Columbus supplying road salt for ODOT, cities, counties, and landscapers. This vital salt keeps roads safe during winter. Shipped from Ohio and New York mines in railcars, it’s stored and delivered via our dump trucks as needed. In 2001, our dry van division began transporting paint for PPG Industries from Delaware to Lima, OH.
Our dedicated team of company drivers and owner-operators, many with us since our inception, are our greatest asset.
We take immense pride in our close-knit, diligent community. From our inception to today, we are based in quality: quality people, quality services, and quality outcomes.
Our Fleet
